Uranium - See John Dizard' column in today's Financial Times - he's looking at 400 + small reactors for the US.

Uranium deposit inventories -

The deposit information on the former Soviet Unio and China is likley to still be mostly secret.

There were deposit information gatheres about every decade by the USGS and published for most of the free world, and also by the 2 or 3 uranium consultancies.

This is done for most elements in the peiodid table.

The later estimates will include in situ leaching and and more exclusion of enviromnetally sensitive areas.
