Vivent les mines du Canada ( et Quebec).... And to the next Canadian elephant

I agree with you on this.

As you know, it takes much more than good geology and nice geological models/hypotheses to make a mine. I suppose I have been frustrated with the outcome of some Canadian projects over the last few years. Yes, I can be accused of being a little jaded. Take CLG for example: one of the nicest finds in the last 10 years, 3+ million ounces, with a go ahead on the feasibility, only to be pulled back from the starting line due to increased costs of materials/labor/etc without enough of a rise in gold. Compare that to FGX, which GLG took over in 2002: two properties, Marlin with 2 million ounces and El Sauzal with 2 million ounces; El Sauzal in production and Marlin in construction with production imminent.

Let's see how VIA fares. It could be the one <g>. I've been waiting for something fresh and new since La Ronde.
