The other day at a world summit of some type or another, Clinton made the observation that Saddam performed his atrocities with our knowledge and acquiescence.

So did the Soviet Union, steve. We could never, cannot, and never will be able to control the behavior of the rest of the world, and must often choose between evils in designing a foreign policy.

So what is the point exactly? If your chief complaint was that we allied ourselves with Saddam's evil regime because Iran was the worse danger, then you ought to be happy that we overthrew Saddam, and are working to establish an Iraqi democracy, which by any measure will be far far better than the tyranny it replaces.
