Its entirely possible that a free, democratic Iraq might make as a staple of their own foreign policy that the geographies of the pre-'67 war Israel, the West Bank, the Golan Heights and the Gaza Strip should be combined into one country (temporarily called NewCo!). NewCo should grant equality to ALL its citizens regardless of ethnicity or religion, and the citizens would be the 6-7 million Israelis and 6-7 million Palestinain refugees that live in that geography. That sounds like pretty much like an equality-based, freedom loving American style policy, even though it would mean the end of the idea of a "Jewish" state and a "Jewish" homeland. May come as a surprise to some of our libs on this thread, but to me something like this would make sense and have my support. Guys, don't forget I was born and raised where Folke Bernadotte came from! Taro
