Isn't it great being on the right side of history in the making? I love being the side stating that freedom and democracy is good. It is great being the side that can say there is good in Iraqis. Wow, to think that some people would willingly condemn a whole country or region to brutal dictatorships and religious persecution.

Thanks for sharing your optimism.

You know...I seem to remember some "pinhead opining" about Iraq not being the cakewalk that the neo-cons were predicting.

In that case the "pinheads" were right.

As far as voting turnout...everyone expected the Shia and Kurds to vote heavily and they did. The Sunni turnout was less than outstanding.

As far as a bloodbath...I think the idea of letting NO VEHICLES on the road might have been the answer to that potentiality. If they can just keep up that total ban on ALL vehicles, Iraq may never have to worry about insurgents again.
