Dorothy Dunnett I finished the "The House of Niccolo" last year. Best historical Fiction I think I have ever read. Couldn't get into the Lymond Chronicles, though. Too tough going for me. I am working my way though the "Alternate History" genre at the moment. I very much enjoyed "Days of Infamy," and look forward to the sequel. The "What if?" approach works well with a good writer. I am in the middle of Harry Turtledove's "How few remains," Where the south won the first Civil war in 1862, and the second civil war is happening in 1861.
