As for the dumbest argument against the new America: "They broke the LAW to get here", the FOUNDERS depended on our ability to see and eliminate STUPID laws. The pseudo-populists and anti-immigration Nazis refuse to understand that.

And as many conservatives are culpable on the "immigration issue" as liberals.

American renewal has overcome far worse in the past. Hispanic immigration will continue. We need, as usual, to REPLACE the bottom rungs-lest we BECOME them...

Illegals are already dragging us down and not only because they commit crime, devalue jobs and consume resources that should be left only for Americans. More perniciously, they are open lawbreakers from the first very second they enter the country, demonstrating no loyalty to our legal system. Rather than deal with the issue, our leaders are throwing up their hands, effectively claiming we do not have the right to determine, brutally if need be, who enters our own home. That is insane and it drags us all down. It is also a slap in the face of the many poor souls who respect our laws such that they try to enter this country legally.

If we have the right to on our own declare against America which laws are good and which are bad and then wantonly go about breaking the laws we deem bad, then America as a nation is hopelessly doomed because America is nothing but a system of laws. No real American would actually support the lawbreaking millions from south of the border.
