AIDs is behaviour driven and could be eliminated if folks took precautions.

Childhood aids in the US is under control with a 90% cure rate when infants treated with certain effective drugs.

That's substantially different than what you said earlier...

of course i know aids is a ww scourge but in the US it is under control and if folks stopped engaging in dangerous behaviour it would be eradicated by now. Noticed this week that for infants treated with new meds HIV defeated early on. Mike

Are you modifying what you said?...childhood AIDS in the US is under control vs. it is under control in the US. There's a big difference between those two claims.

Then there's infants....while it's great the progress made in treatment for infants born with AIDS, what percentage of the AIDS infected population are infants?

Maybe 90% (or even more) control rate, or whatever you want to call the rate of bringing the disease under control for years, but not really a cure rate.
