TigerPaw, the simple fact is, we are winning every battle but losing the war, just like in Vietnam. It is very frustrating when our extremely expensive weaponry and well-trained troops can't guarantee us victory. But victory is a difficult task when we can't decide what it is. Is victory: 1. Deposing and capturing Saddam? Been there, done that, still losing. 2. Capturing Osama and crushing al Qaida? Sorry, but we're in the wrong country for those. 3. Turning all those Iraqis into Southern Confederate American Psuedo-Christians? Not enough hair spray or stock cars in that part of the world. 4. Turning Iraq into a democracy? Never gonna happen.

So, until you can define victory, you can't achieve it. And that's actually one of those things you should do before declaring war. Or at least very soon after, if you are attacked, which we weren't.

There's always Iran, Syria, North Korea... Another invasion could distract from Iraq
