You are damn right they don't. And they didn't in the 70s when I was interviewing them. Our classic "recent college grad" was a Soc major from USC. 22 years old with a blank stare. He had coasted though both HS and college, and was now working on his daddy's boat in Newport Beach while looking for a job.

What a waste.

What gets me is when they try to justify their costs by telling you how much more you’ll earn over your working life with a degree. As if for teaching you for 4 years they’re entitled to a fraction of your earnings for the rest of your life. And you thought indentured servitude was a historical artifact.
