There's the rub....in most cases, even the "exploited" ones are better off here than in their homeland.

The problem is betrayed by your use of quote marks around the word exploited. Despite what happens to them at this point, they are not being exploited when they can go to essentially any American clinic and without knowing a syllable of English get their ills cared for free of charge. When they can send their children to American schools to get fed and educated free of charge, go to American food banks, get free food, welfare, etc., etc. Well, relative paradise exists here regardless of what happens to them. All of this should be cut off completely. They have no right to enjoy this land if they cannot obey its laws.

It is not in my nature to think the country is "toast"...I believe in this country with passion that only grows with age...Let's hope you are premature in your pessimism.

I am only looking at the fundamentals and extrapolating the necessary results. If a people cannot embrace and defend the one thing that makes them a people, then it is only a matter of time until that people collapses or is changed into something so radically different from what it was that it is unrecognizable.
