Don't forget: there have been a few hundred released (after a year or so in the dank) with no charges at all... like the 97 year-old Afghan dirt farmer recently released. Some were likely just in the wrong place at the wrong time, or else were victims of greed or revenge. The Northern Alliance rounded up a lot of people (not all Taliban, in some cases they just wanted to steal their land or houses) and shipped them off to our forces in sealed rail cars... (out of one shipment of nearly 500, more then 300 suffocated before they got to us), we knew nothing about many of these people.
