Oh dear. I don't know exactly how I allegedly implied that "that accepting and teaching evolution is anathema to religious beliefs". There's obviously a lot of people that find the idea of evolution offensive, though, and they seem to be mostly religious. As far as chemical evolution goes, it's somewhat speculative, but at least there's some there there, as opposed to "intelligent design" which seems to be the proverbial "deus ex machina" writ large on the scientific front.
