Gassing whom? You are making less and less sense. And I didn't say anything about whom Hitler was in bed. What I did say was that Hitler was no socialist.

The opposite of Socialist is something like capitalist. In bed with implies that he was promoting the enterprises of business owners. My understanding was that Hitler was sending many business owners and merchants to concentration camps.

Yes, but they were a special niche of business owners. They were Jews. That's why they called it the Holocaust, or do you think that's a mainstream media lie as well?

Once their, they often became slave labor until their usefulness ended, after which they were generally killed in gas chambers.

Yes, that was the insanity that was Hitler.

Hitler was willing to do whatever it took to advance his personal cause. When you make the false claim that he was a conservative, it must be corrected. You do not wish to admit that he was left of center. The most important dynamic of Hitler was that he was Authoritarian.

Yes, that's true. However, if he had a political philosophy, it was closer to the right than to the left. Hitler wanted to reinstate the traditions under the Prussian Germany........to go back to the Germany before WW I. This is symptomatic of conservatism......the desire to maintain the status quo or to be reactionary........resisting significant change going forward. He encouraged a strong sense of nationalism that grew into a program of German superiority. He was a rightie that went amok if you would.

You can attempt to deny that the authoritarian label is descriptive of the Democrat party. The authoritarian label does fit the Democrat party. One of your points seems to be that you feel that President George W. Bush shares these traits with Hitler and Democrats.

Authoritarianism is closer to the right than to the left. However, it is neither.....it stands alone as a form of gov't. Its where an elite group or one person runs the gov't and is not responsible to the people. To the best of my knowledge, both conservatives and liberals favor a democracy.

Because they were Jewish or members of another minority group!

Peter,

When you make the false claim that [Hitler] was a conservative, it must be corrected.

Everybody bad in history, according to Ted is a conservative, including Stalin. <g>
