Reagan’s “Star Wars stupidity” (more accurately called the “Strategic Defense Initiative”) represented about fifty percent of the reason the Soviet Union went bankrupt. And the financial bankruptcy of the Soviet Union represented about fifty percent of the impetus that resulted in its collapse. So apparently one man’s definition of “stupidity” is another man’s (or millions of men’s) definition of “brilliance”. You no doubt believe that it was Gorbachev’s ‘reforms’ that caused the collapse of the USSR? And are you also of the opinion that the wolf had nothing to do with the demise of the three little pigs’ house (it was just innately structurally unsound)? tj
