In 1991 allied armored forces were positioned at the Euphrates River near Basra at the cease fire. Thats in Iraq. In addition when allied armored forces cut off Republican guards units they did it by entering Iraq west of Kuwait and moving North then Northeast till they were NW of Kuwait, in Iraq.
