TH,
Right now Google has lot of mojo. You are right about them being overvalued, but there seems to be many things that they are working on beyond the traditional search tools. They are surreptiously spreading themselves into VOIP (think they purchased dark fiber - pretty cheaply due to the glut of fiber optic build out during the heady internet days), browser based operating system thereby encroaching into MSFT territory. They have shown the capacity to think outside the box and achieve relative success. I admire them - however I agree on the valuation part. Since they are spreading into other areas, I would eventually bet everything is not going to pan out in their favor and that would be the time I would consider going short.

TH;

Quite a ride today on GOOG. Up huge as some of the shorts dove overboard then a mild back-up. I was tempted to add but refrained. (g)

With Microsoft leading a parade of new search engines to market and tons of previously escrowed stock coming into the market, It is going to be an interesting ride.

Best, Earlie
