More on "assessment of risk"; (just my ideas.. perhaps not too smart) It was Russ Winter that first introduced "enterprise value". Deduct cash from market capitalisation, and you are left with the value of the market ascribes to the enterprise. It seems to me that the lower then enterprise value, the lower the risk. CKG, with $20M in cash has an enterprise value of $86M. LSG and NSM, assuming they have only minimal cash, have enterprise value os $55m and $15M respectively. The grandaddy of all, perhaps, is Novicourt with cash (~$80M)exceeding its market cap, and therefore NO enterprise value ! Yet this company is an explorer and among other things has a JV with AMC in the Val D'OR area of Quebec. Elephant country.
