I think our defense is so bad I would worry about that first and foremost. The little of Nall I've seen I was impressed. Work on D and our offensive game plan before worrying about a QB I'm thinking. I understand for the next couple of years that Sherman has put us in cap troubles also so perhaps there is no hope anyhow.

Another good reason for Brett to retire.

Favre is not going to retire.

He will play another three, maybe four years.

IMHO.

If he does retire, then Thompson should gut the roster and start over. Heck, maybe he should anyway. In today's NFL many teams go from bottom dwelers to playoffs in a single year.

No reason we cannot either. Heck, I think we can resurrect our Defense by next season. I like the simplicity of the new guy's D. All this gimic D stuff is for the birds. I believe that if you have a gimic D, you are saying to the world, our guys cannot match up so we have to rely on gimics.

Fock that. Line 'em up and play 'em.

We only need a couple more guys on D and back to the basics. Simplicity.

I also think that would help the offence. How many times does Brett see one thing and the receiver something else. Sheesh. Simplify and then have your players go out and beat their players.

Man, arm chair coaching is so easy.
