We'll see if there has been any progress on Feb 16. If the operating loss is greater then 25 million, I would say the quarter was a total failure and that we are still being feed a bunch of BS by mgmt. If gross margins improve by less then 1%, then we can also assume that they can't get a handle on their costs. If SG+A, as a percent of total revenue doesn't show major improvements, then we can also assume that they don't follow through with their claims.

There is NO reason to give Huber the benefit of the doubt, imo. He MUST start showing real progress and not just give us more talk about future progress. Concrete actions, not talk, are necessary at this point.

We'll see on Feb 16.

Many of us agree that Broadwing has:

1. The most advanced, most efficient, easiest to deploy/provision all-optical national network. Corvis/Broadwing has been touting this for 4-5 years years. We have so far seen no serious challenge to their claim.

2. About the highest ratio of revenue/employee (1600 workers assuming $820-850 m revenue)

I'm not sure about this anymore. If it were true bwng should be an openly discussed takeover target and they should be adding customers at a much faster rate. Management is awful and they are telling all that the stock is still overvalued. BTW has anyone spoken to Dawn in the past 5 months or is she just an answering machine voice? And does anyone have any idea just what managements current business plan is?

You bring up very good points.....but the bottom line is there have been many 'positives' to look at fir quite some time know and this stock is down a huge % in an UP market that looks to me like it is getting topsy and ready for a dive.....but regardless of all that, look at all the points you brought up.....hasn't the street and the big money had time to decipher all this? And what message are they sending? That until BWNG can show a profit and can sustain that profit and grow that profit, they are staying away until then...that is clearly obvious.

And again, all the points you bring up are excellent, but it all still boils down to making a profit.

With the stiff challenges that BWNG faces ( even they will tell you straight up and honestly if you ask them..that things are highly competitive with shrinking margins and yes, they are getting new biz, but they may not be making money on it) it is going to be tough to start showing exploding profits, imo.
