Thanks. I guess I left out the fuel for left/right squabling and sniggering... and whining about being victims of other peoples opinions.

It was one of many that I posted hoping to stimulate pure intellectual discussion... Grainne et al were obviously obligated to over look those.

As a follow-up however. I note that the birth rate ratio in large Asian countries is approximately 117 boys to 100 girls. This is clearly a 'choice' driven statistic that smells like infanticide to me. The trend is spreading globally so we should see some interesting social changes in coming generations where possibly 1 billion boys per generation will grow to old age with no chance of engaging in a core family as an adult. This the result, ironically, of feminizing the planet.

I wonder if we will have marauding hordes of young men dominating cultures. Futurists tell us that the economic super powers of the next generation will be India and China... guess where this new birth rate ratio is most pronounced ... yup.
