Roland Arnall, has created a net worth of more than one billion by founding and running Ameriquest and related company Long Beach Savings and Loan. He can be best described as human garbage. I worked with him briefly as a client when he was interesting in buying some savings and loans I represented. Every time Roland arrived at a meeting in his bullet-proof limousine, his driver opened the door and he would emerge slowly - hunched over and looking around the surrounding area cautiously for 20 seconds or so before he stood up fully. Then he would walk briskly into the building shadowed by his limo driver/ bodyguard. It seemed quite obvious that Roland was quite fearful of being shot, even in very upscale neighborhoods. He seems to have created his own personal Hell to live in. A very strange and unpleasant man. Roland's close associate is an equally sleazy man named Stewart Resnick who, with his wife Lynda, owns the Franklin Mint and other dubious businesses. Both men are currently active on the charity circuit trying to purchase an honorable reputation. .
