I don't much believe anything any politician says about fiscal matters. They generally have no idea what's going on, just play to their audience.

That said, given the choices, I'm comfortable with Bush being POTUS. Maybe, just maybe, he'll deliver a bit on the "ownership society".

What did you give out for Trick or Treat last year Kenneth? You strike me as the candy corn in a napkin and rubber band kinda guy.

Still manipulating the REAL facts Kenneth?

This is the guy who told us he would pay down $2 Trillion on the debt even after the tax cut.

As I told you before Kenneth, George Bush made this statement PRIOR to 9/11, the recession, and the Iraq war.

As to this:
This is the guy who told us in the 2002 State of the Union about a small and temporary budget deficit.

Again, you've changed the meaning of this quote selectively editing it. As you already know, Kenneth, the full quote from the 2002 SOU address is as follows:

our budget will run a deficit that will be small and short-term, so long as Congress restrains spending and acts in a fiscally responsible manner. (Applause.) We have clear priorities and we must act at home with the same purpose and resolve we have shown overseas: We'll prevail in the war, and we will defeat this recession

Sell crazy somewhere else, Kenneth. You and apparently your party leaders in the House and Senate, are out of touch with middle America. The shining light for me is that you and your ilk are digging your own graves. :)
