Personally, I hope the US bans BOeing sale to China. Maybe that would force China to reexamine their policy and try everything they can to develop their own large-size civil airplane<g>

Forget the Ban, I would just hope China obliges by buying jets from France or the UK

Why would China have to develop its own large airliner mftr capability?

They could just buy their planes from Airbus and hurt the US manufacturer (Boeing and all related subcontractors) once again.

Oh, that's right - "national security". LOL.

Yiwu,
I think China, India and some other country that I do not recall were planning a consortium to build planes. I don't know whatever happened to those plans. I guess it was all vaporware <vbg>
