the Canadian energy expert
that figure was from 2002
Stanford Univ engineers at work in two-level horizontal process
what began as $20-22 per barrel is now under $10

Mu understanding is that the all-in cost of producing oil from the sands is closer to $25 a barrel and can be as high as $35.
