Turned out I hadn't recognize Carlson's voice (hadn't heard him since childhood) but when the broadcaster said his name my thought was, oh no and now he's dead. So much for witty humor being on tv/radio.

Its funny......not laughing funny. I think I only watched him once or twice growing up but I felt pretty sad when I heard he had died. What's also odd is he was this big success on tv and yet, his personal life sucked and he ended up dying from emphysema. With all his money and fame, he couldn't give up the bad habit that killed him. :~((
