You are correct.

HE commented about banning vehicular traffic contributing to the security. It sounds like the plan worked. Cudos for military planners in Iraq be they Iraqi, Japanese, American, Australian, British or others.

Of course he never said the war would be a "cake walk".

Even he isn't THAT dumb.

The vote was a victory for the religious Shiites, but as far as the rest of the Iraqis and Bush, I think the jury's still out.

There's a debate going on in Iraq right now on how much of the new constitution should be based on Shariah (Islamic Law).

Under Shariah, women are considered second class citizens. Right now, in Basra women are harassed if they don't wear the proper clothing and merchants are sometimes burned out or even killed if their merchandise doesn't meet with Islamic virtues.

Is Iraq ends up an Islamic democracy that treats women the way that the Taliban did, do you think THAT would be a Bush victory?
