It's a sign of intellectual laziness and is very common on SI. In some cases it may be laziness. Alternatively, you might be giving them more credit than they deserve. It's an odd species. I don't ever recall hearing a person "I am NOT an individual; I can't think for myself." Yet, it seems as if a very large majority of the species will run to join the first group they can latch onto and join in group think. In politics, you join the group of Democrats, or Republicans to get to vote. Even "Independent" has turned into a group. jttmab
