What's creepy is the way the insurgents just turn this stuff on and off. They must have a pretty sophisticated communications network.

How the hell can we expect the Iraqi military to defend and protect their country when they can't even defend and protect themselves? In the past six months, how many times has the insurgency waylaid some recruits or newly trained personnel and executed them?

If your involved in an armed conflict then some people on your side die. The fact that the Iraqi military is not immune to this does not mean that they are impotent, or that they are not getting stronger.
