This is true, LB....We had NO idea that the Catholic Church had no provision for their Priests and Nuns for retirement, until we talked with 3 of the Priests .... They had been invited to a Super Bowl weekend by a good friend of ours, and he and his wife paid all their costs for the weekend...The rest of us paid our way, and had a wonderful time....They weren't really complaining, but explaining why they were very hand to mouth after they retired....they have to depend on the charity of their community... VERY VERY sad!
