Careful. "Defense" may not include military entitlements, Homeland Security, Iraq, other stuff. There are those that claim military is 50%.

Maybe we could take a portion of budget money intended for missiles, and invest it in the stock market.

Sure, why not? While we're at it, let's also divert some of the funds going toward armored Humvees, unmanned spy drones, and other technologies that save the lives of our soldiers? Fight a war on the cheap, like Clinton used to do.


On the cheap? Rummie beat you to it. We don't have enough people in Iraq....haven't since day one. And like ole Rummie said..........you go with the army that you join. That meant Bush used money that was needed for military equipment to pay for the tax cuts. And he didn't friggin' blink when signing that bill!

Take your complaints to your president. I had nothing to do with it.
