Re: are you rootin' for putin? Huh?! I think it's futile to personalize the Russian power structure --or just ANY power structure, for that matter.... Like GW Bush, Putin is sort of a figurehead that gives a semblance of decency to an otherwise ugly, fascistic regime. Whether it's Putin or another former apparatchik doesn't make any difference. Ditto for the US: Kerry or Bush? It's tweedledee or tweedledum... Both the US and the Russian power structures evolve and behave according to their OWN rules --regardless of the election circus. Gus
