DJ, I did think Mary was making a very odious comparison, which is why I bit unusally seriously on her comment making the comparison. I'm with you on that. Diluting the A-word to mean "somewhat unconventional ideas with which I disagree" is offensive and comparing me with the perpetrators is going to get a rise from me.

I personally never use the word.

I apologise for provoking Maurice into using the word inappropriately.

Maurice is very prolific and does not have time to think through some of the things he writes.
