Speaking of news magazine shows that never aired...

It's a little known, but true, fact that the whole Webnode thing was designed for a segment of 20/20 on stock fraud. We had everyone from John Reed Stark to a Congressman to a veteran of a boiler room lined up for interviews. Cameras were supposed to be filming us on April 1 for a real-time look at how easy it is to scam people. The day filming was to begin the segment was canceled by, from what I was told, the top level at the network. The bottom line was that "no one cares about stock fraud." This was, after all, the height of the dot com bubble. Ah, the irony of it all.
