Probably not. But I, nor JF, said that there was. Given the fact that there was at least a decade where there wasn't any growth at all, can you categorically state that it is impossible that there won't be a 30 year period in the future where it won't occur? Take your time on this...

Oh, for clarification, a 10% or so growth over 30 years would probably count as "flat or down".

twfowler, I thought the 70s was basically a 2% return over a decade after correcting for inflation. i.e. standing still. Regards, Amy J
