"It's already dropped to 57 per cent." The actual turnout isn't important. They had a relatively peaceful election with a decent plurality. That is a wonderful thing. What is more important is what comes of it. Will the almost certain Shia majority decide to get back at the Sunni minority because of the past? The Sunnis will regret their refusal to participate. The question is, will it be a Rwanda-type regret, or a US Democrat-type regret, assuming that the two cases are different?
