Well, El Mat, I will have to take issue with 'asylum seekers being low IQ' , at least for the US experince - which has been better than many other countries.

Let's assume that you are talking about real asylum seekers and not just economic migrants pretending to be persecuted.

On the parade of counter examples we can include Cubans, where the US recieved a big slice of the top of Cuban society.
We can inlcude those who fled the Germans in WWII.
Those who fled the Russians after WWII.
And some people fleeing China for lots of different reasons - Japan invasion, Nationalists, Communists, Cultural Revolution, etc.

We could go back to the Hugenots who fled France.

If I am clever, I might maintain that the Irish were economic migrants...

Now if you are in Brazil, and people are comming in from Argentina or Bolivia because there are no jobs, you might be seeing a differenet set of people.
