The thing about SS is that Bush doesn't want to reform it, he wants to KILL IT. So does the CATO Institute which is funded by one of the three corporations that the WSJ says would have the wherewithal to handle...private accounts.

See how that all works out?

Bush: has been trying to kill SS for 28 years. Since his proposal does NOTHING to make SS more financially viable, his proposal is only his attempt to KILL IT.

Even the WH admit that privatization does nothing for the 'crisis' (nonexistent) in SS. George Stephanopoulus actually put it well, privatization is only about ideology, not finance.
