Everyone is hoping Europe can pull off a miracle and get Iran to see reason.

Have you listened to your rightie brethren on this thread? They all expect/hope Europe will fail. Ditto for your leaders.

But it wouldn't surprise me if they fail and the U.S. has to step in and get forceful with Iran. Then it will be on the agenda. We won't have to wait long either. Either way, something will happen within the next 2-3 years.
