I've always maintained that oil is too valuable to burn. Plastics and lubricants are a fraction of the usage of oil.

I've heard that, if China rises to the standard of living of Mexico, it will all by itself use as much oil as the entire world does today. Then there's India.

Yep, I'm dang sure that China will simply back off grabbing the oil it needs for economic expansion because the US needs it. Yep, that's going to happen.

China is trying to buy Unocal.

Crisis in SS? It's 100% ok until 2052.
