red, Also, many Cubans hate the Democrats because Kennedy muffed the Bay of Pigs Invasion. But other Latinos have pictures of JFK on their walls at home because he was the first Catholic President. These folks don't all vote as one.

IMO people want to be lumped when it suits their power base and not lumped when it doesn't. If people are so hell bent on pigeonholing themselves and others, we should simply assign people onto a sliding scale of relative melatonin production. Of course their position on the scale (from shrimp pink to coffee brown for example) would change depending on how much time they spent out in the sun that week so people would definitely have to pay attention. I always wonder about people who say they are 'proud of their heritage' considering that THEY weren't around to do anything about their heritage and they should be more concerned about what they themselves are actually doing.
