You know Michal and Thomas, years ago Nikon or Cannon would release a pro level platform every five to ten years or so.

Unfortunately the race to out-mega pixel the competition, the companies are not too interested in their market.

And, that will bite them in the end, I suspect.

One of the things I am hoping for in the prosumer end, i.e, when the price gets down to where I will start buying, is that a breakdown into modular units won't mean tossing the whole thing out every time. If one could invest in lenses and other add-ons with some confidence that they would work just fine with a new back and the price of a new back starts to migrate down in the direction of $500, we will be back to an economic model more like we had with film.
