No one hopes Europe will fail. But the problem with Europe is that they are playing poker against an opponent that cheats. Europe assumes there is honor in Iran, but there is none.

Who told you? Europeans are hardly naive school boys on their first international outing. They have had considerable success in using economic carrots to get what they want. Not as exciting as shock and awe but definitely, more productive.

Our adminstration understands that the Iranians are about as duplicitous as Arafat was. So there is hope, but there is no illusion that the Iranian leadership will become honorable overnight.

This administration does not understand or care to understand what the Europeans are doing. They don't have the first clue was to what international diplomacy is. They have an agenda and that agenda includes overturning the current gov't of Iran. End of story.
