Neverland must be amazing from all I've heard Depp can do anything well.
Please skip MDB. I know that YOU won't like it one bit.
There's "sad" parts in terrific movies like Mystic River, but they are in a better context that still allows you to come out in a pleased fashion.

I'll repeat this one more time. This thread is the bomb.

I remember I met this deaf girl at a party back when I was a
young stud on the prowl. Well okay, I wasn't really a stud
or a prowler. Just trying not to be too geeky when a girl
smiled at me...

Anyway this girl with hearing aids was really cute. A
beautiful girl. Sorta looked like Selma Heyak with things in
her ears. I guess because of the hearing aids I didn't feel
intimidated or whatever. I mean she was way out of my league
but the devices stuck to the back of her ears brought her
down a notch. (At least in my damaged-ego filled head.)
And the music was so loud that no one could really hear each
other anyway. All I'd have to do is smile a lot while
stumbling over my words.

She laughed at a lot of my jokes and I figured we were hitting
it off kind of nicely. I asked her for her phone number and
she gave it too me despite her friend who probably thought I
was just some dickhead.

So for days I got this girl on my mind. All I can do is
think about her. Love at first sight. I figured I could
learn to talk loud and even figure out a few sign language
things to romance her with. Then we live happily ever after
and stuff like that.

So finally a day or two later I work up the nerve to call her.

That's when it sort of occurred to me... How is she gonna
hear the phone and then be able to hear me talking into it?

I call and get her answering machine.

Next day I call and get her answering machine.

Next day I call and get her answering machine.

So now I got this really fugged up mind-game going on.

Is she blowing me off or can she not communicate on the phone
well?

Next day I call and get her answering machine.

Next day I call and get her answering machine.

Determined little fugger, ain't I? I'd even leave messages
saying stuff like have her friend call me if communicating
on the phone is difficult.

Beautiful deaf girl never called me back.

About a month later I bumped into her friend.

She told me her friend got all the messages but she just
wasn't interested.

That's when it occurred to me that perhaps she was a
heaing-impaired lesbian...
