"... heater malfunctioned on its own or if someone caused the fatal carbon monoxide leak"

This sounds wrong. CO is not usually used as a domestic fuel, as far as I know. Burning the usual hydrocarbon gases might produce CO if the air-gas mixture were wrongly set (not enough O2). IMO it isn't a question of a possible leak, rather a misadjustment. I'm ready to be corrected on this (who knows how they do things in Georgia).

"Accidents" happen, Jay. Have you see the result of the conversations between Israel and Palestine authorities in Sharm El Sheik? They, both, are coming out talking that the way ahead for a settlement is positive

Arafat, seems to have been the stumbling block. He dies and immediately there's a peace process going. It was not a snake bite...

Well how fun! A murder mystery. Oh, goodie.

I'm reminded of "Murder on the Orient Express" or Arthur Conan Doyle's immortal works on the 7% solution....

Or maybe that delightful old board game, Clue. Let's see, could it be "Mr. Mustard, using the bad gas, in the bedroom?"

OK, I've narrowed down the list of suspects. I've got a clue. Of course we need motive and means. I've got both covered. And just to be ghoulish, if not goulash, I've even thought of who could be revived from the grave to do the deed. Who? Certainly not Hu? The Chinese are out of it.

My best guesses for perps? Iosif Dzugashvili and Richard Nixon's Plumbers! Dzugashvili has the motive, ending Georgian moderation and the Plumber's have the means, monkey wrenches......

Ramon Duraj, reporting from Tbilisi.... Back to you, Jay!
