Oops, that was in Oregon.

I don't remember the man's name, but it was about 20 years ago. I am pretty sure he was the AG. The only reason I know about it is a friend of mine knows an MD who was working with him on tracking the drug trade through the prison system. He wound up dead and then odd things started to happen to her. Finally, she had to flee the state when it looked as if she had a ride in a car trunk in her future...

The Feds did a good job in breaking up the Mafia on the East coast during the 1970s. But the result was bits and pieces starting popping up in the more rural states during the late '70s and '80s.
