No we need our nutballs. The fact that a fellow professor at the University wrote the link that you posted does not bode well. Usually professors stick together.. This article was damaging. I would like to know more about the guy. Guess I will Google Him.. I respect your opinion. Free speech... academic freedom which allows us to disagree and challenge and makes us THINK is what teaching is all about. I once knew a Guidance Counselor who worked with the the disadvantaged kids who used to say, naw you won't get anywhere to a kid. He mocked them. We used to think it was terrible but it was his technique of making the kid angry and a lot of them would go out and do just what this Counselor said he could not do. A technique that I would not use but it worked. The kids would come back and gloat and the counselor would be ecstatic..
