They're not Christians. They're fake Christians who use Christianity in a cynical attempt to gain power and bully others into shutting up.

It amazes me that even reasonably well educated people see Janet's clothing as more significant today than the rise of FASCISM and the stomping of the US Constitution. THIS IS Germany and Europe in the 30s and 40s.
