Laz,
stamp out smoking in most places.
"Great! Glad to hear were civilizing that den of iniquity!"
About 30 percent of the state would disagree with you. That's a pretty hefty percentage. There are people here who think tobacco is just another vegetable.

Next, they'll be wanting to close the bars at 2:00 a.m.
"What? You think the poor slobs should stay drunk 24 hours a day?"
Not everyone is 9 to 5. There's a whole cult of night people out and about, especially in places that hum 24/7/365. For those people, 2:00 a.m. is the mere shank of the evening.

Okay, now you remember amazon.com but you conveniently left out all the chain stores with full parking lots.
"And all the stuff in them was made in NV, right? All that proves is you do a good job of conning suckers out of their money in your casinos."
And, of course, we all know that everything sold in stores in California is manufactured in California. Many people go to casinos for the world class food and headline entertainment and do not gamble at all.

I agree that California surely has much more prostitution than does Nevada. Maybe if California legalized prostitution and taxed the bejeebers out of it, it wouldn't have a 38 billion shortfall.
"Much? Hmmm. I'd like to see you rove that."
Sorry, can't rove that no matter how I try. <vbg>

"We got our shortfall becauseof an idiot Dem guvner, thank
you."
What? Who elected him? Certainly not the fine citizens of Nevada! We have a mostly sensible Republican governor. - Holly
