Why would these people not be exposed as phonies, and why indeed should the Jewish community and Israel not raise objections? I don't know Nikole, but it all seems too clever by a half to me. Here in the west, many Jews have taken non-jewish names, especially those in the public eye such as government officials or in publishing and entertainment. Why would it be different or the exact opposite in the Ukraine or Russia?
